After PSG’s defeat against Dortmund in the Champions League semi-finals, Mbappe decided to announce his farewell to the French team. Mbappe announced that he will definitely leave France. And now, Mbappe will almost join Real Madrid after his contract expires.

On the morning of May 13, Mbappe played for the last time at Parc des Princes in PSG’s 1-3 loss to Toulouse in round 33 of Ligue 1.

Notably, PSG did not organize any gratitude ceremony for the greatest striker in the club’s history. Mbappe will leave PSG at the end of the season as a free agent and will not receive an 80 million euro loyalty bonus in the 2023/24 season. 

Most recently, Sky Sports revealed that Mbappe is also willing to reduce his salary significantly to ensure his dream of moving to the Bernabeu is completed. 

Mbappe’s new contract is reported to have a salary of 15 million euros per season after tax , a sharp decrease compared to the estimated total income of 75 million euros while wearing the PSG shirt.

Leaving PSG, Mbappe will save this team about 200 million euros per season. To replace Mbappe, PSG will invest in 4 to 5 new contracts.
