Attending the March 1 party, which took place as part of a three-day pre-wedding celebration for Anant Ambani and his fiancée Radhika Merchant, Zuckerberg and Chan, usually known for their understated fashion, opted for luxurious attire.
Anant Ambani, 28, is the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani who helms the conglomerate Reliance Industries and has a net worth of US$117.3 billion, as estimated by Forbes as of March 5, 2024. This makes Mukesh Ambani Asia’s richest and the world’s ninth richest person.
Radhika Merchant, 29, comes from a notable background as well, being the daughter of Shri Viren Merchant, CEO of the leading Indian healthcare company Encore Healthcare.
The couple, who have known each other from a young age and were both educated in the U.S., celebrated their pre-wedding festivities from March 1-3.
As per Daily Mail reports, the event cost 120 million pounds (US$151.9 million).
Zuckerberg, 40, and Chan, 39, chose Alexander McQueen for their attire, with the businessman pairing his suit with designer loafers and his wife accessorizing with high-end jewelry.
Adorned with gold dragonfly patterns embellished with stones, Zuckerberg’s suit jacket was priced at US$7,000.
His loafers, also by the same designer, were marketed at US$1,895.
Chan’s choice was a US$15,000 Alexander McQueen gown crafted from quality crepe and decorated with hand-embellished rose patterns, Colorado topaz, and crystals
For her jewelry, Chan selected a Cartier rose gold necklace valued at US$91,500, featuring 804 diamonds totaling 10.7 carats.
Her final touch to the look was a High Jewellery bracelet by Cartier, valued at US$235,000, encrusted with 540 diamonds totaling 12.73 carats.
