One report says the couple expressed interest in three properties as they appear to be taking a big step in their relationship.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are remaining silent on the engagement speculation surrounding their relationship. But even if they’re not planning to walk down the aisle soon, it seems they’re taking another big step in their relationship – house hunting.
While Travis joined Taylor in Europe earlier this month as she continues her Eras tour, the couple were seen looking at houses in Lake Como, though it’s unclear if they’re hoping to make a joint purchase or go in on it solo.
“[Travis] fell in love with the beauty and atmosphere [of Lake Como],” a source told The Sun. “They also took a bit of time to look into real estate, as many celebrities own houses and properties there.”
The insider continued, “They like to do simple things, to relax, to spend days being by themselves and chill at home, so that location would be a perfect nest for them if one of them decides to buy a property there.”
Taylor already has a number of properties to her name, including an $18 million townhouse in New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood. She also owns a $25 million Beverly Hills mansion and a $17.75 million Rhode Island estate. In total, her real estate portfolio is valued to be worth $100 million, and that may expand if she does put down a sum on a Lake Como property.
Travis recently invested in a $6 million mansion with enhanced security features after revealing his previous house was no longer safe, given that Swifties had uncovered his address. The NFL star has apparently been financially benefiting from his relationship with Swift, explaining why he may be down to buy property in Italy.
For one, Travis’ jersey sales have increased, and he’s seen a spike in his social following, leading to more paid collaborations. He’s also expanding into acting and hosting, securing a gig on Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?
Another report says the entire Kelce family could financially benefit from the fact that different television networks want to produce a reality show on them. Taylor, who reached billionaire status earlier this year thanks to the Eras tour success, likely doesn’t need the extra cash. But it remains to be seen if she makes an appearance on the rumored reality show (or if it even comes to fruition).
