The all-new season of The Kardashians gives fans a glimpse into what life is like for Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner and co. While fans are here for the season 5 goodness, including Khloé Kardashian and Scott Disick being reunited and Kendall Jenner sharing more of her personality, Kylie shares even more with fans in a new interview as she details what a day at her office is like.
The Kar-Jenner ladies prove time and time again they can do it all. Kim Kardashian runs a billion-dollar business, as well as being a single mom, and studies for a law degree. The youngest of the family, Kylie Jenner, is a mom of two. And, she’s also pulling out all the stops when it comes to her career progression. Most recently, the 26-year-old added to her successful repertoire by launching a clothing brand, Khy.
Kylie Jenner’s ‘day at the office’
Speaking exclusively to People Magazine, Kylie shares what a day at her office looks like.
She explains: “A day at the office usually includes meetings with the design team, mood board creations, drop calendar planning, looking at sketches and fabrics, working on shoot creative and campaigns, and then fit testing pieces from upcoming drops.”
When she’s not busy singing Rise and Shine’s sequel, the mom-of-two to Stormi and Aire adds how she takes a hands-on approach with her work.
Striving for perfection, Kylie says she “tries on every prototype we create.”
The Kardashians star adds she wants to “…make sure it has a great fit and feel,” adding: “I only want to put out designs that I actually love and want to wear, so it’s really important for me to test out every piece firsthand and make sure it’s perfect.”
Khy made $1 million in one hour
Kylie Jenner’s entrepreneurial streak was there from a young age. She admits her mom wasn’t totally convinced the Kylie Cosmetics lip kits would work when she first started out, but she proved her wrong.
Now, it’s not only her makeup brand she’s stacking cash with. Kylie shares how her new clothing line made $1 million within one hour, in an exclusive interview with People last year.
“In the very first hour that Kylie Jenner launched Khy, her first-ever clothing collection, the line surpassed $1 million in sales, and sold out of the faux leather trench, minidress, and Moto gloves.”
She explains she always had a love for both beauty and fashion: “I have always had a special place in my heart for design, and an appreciation of the artistry behind the brands that I love.”
