Just a few weeks ago, everybody was mulling over the exciting basketball future of Bronny James and getting ready to see him suit up for the USC Trojans this season. His father, superstar forward of the Lakers LeBron James, had been very vocal as well stating that Bronny and the rest of his teammates were going to have a big year and that he was super excited to see what would come after.
It’s no secret that The King’s ultimate dream is to share at least one NBA season with his eldest son and even if it could not happen on the Lakers, James structured out his contract so he could become a free agent if needed once Bronny entered the draft.
Unfortunately, Bronny’s future as a basketball players remains up in the air after he suffered a cardiac arrest in the middle of a collegiate workout and the cause is still unknown. All has been well regarding his health since then and his family has remained closely by him but we do not even know if he’s going to be able to suit up for his freshman season at USC.
Respected expert Dr. Brian Sutterer spoke on some reasons as to why the 18-year-old guard could have trouble playing competitive basketball again and they mainly revolve around another cardiac event taking place.
Bronny has had access to some of the best trainers, physicians and doctors during his short basketball career so that’s what makes his case so scary. Even though everyone wants to see him back on the court, the priority is him returning to full health and having reassurance that it’s okay to play again.
