At Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, twin girls Kenzy and Kenzley were welcomed this week by Kimberly Alarcon, 37, and John Alarcon, 43. The third set of Alarcons twins, Kenzy and Kenzley, will soon get to know their eight siblings. The Alarcons of Wall𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁, New York, were a group of twelve people.
The Alarcons have already given 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 to twins Zachary and Zoey, 6, Brittney, 17, Sarah, 13, Hunter, 10, and Oliver and Olivia, 4. King, their 3-year-old grandson, is also being raised by them. I’ve been working in labor and delivery at Westchester Medical for 17 years, and they refer to me as a “regular customer,” Kimberly Alarcon said with a chuckle on “Good Morning America.” A 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 is 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 every three years.
Alarcon revealed to the “GMA” that she and her husband were taken aback when they found out they were expecting once more last year.
“I took a pregnancy test at home and found out I was pregnant,” Alarcon recalls. “We went to the doctor and it was triplets. Well, they started out as a trio. And then, in the doctor’s office, after she checked on me and everything and she told us it was triplets, I went to the bathroom and that’s when I lost one.”
Alcaron was treated by Dr. Angela Silber, chief of obstetrics and gynecology at Westchester Medical Center, who revealed to the “GMA” that such miscarriages still occur occasionally. Unfortunately, 20% of triplet 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡s experience it, according to Silber. But she’s fortunate that everything is going well and the other two girls are developing extremely well. Despite the difficulty of her loss, according to Alarcon, she was able to recover from postpartum depression and face numerous obstacles with the help of medical care, as well as the love and support of her family, church community, and friends.
The mother of 10 stated, “This pregnancy has been like a roller coaster.” “Just one thing, one hit after another. I had high blood pressure, I fell, injured my ankle, had some dental work, and I couldn’t even sleep. In addition, I was carrying so much more weight than usual throughout this pregnancy that I could hardly walk. Alarcon had her first caesarean section on Monday after physicians advised her to do so because one of the twin daughters was in breech position.
The twins are wonderful. They are sound. Alarcon said, “I couldn’t ask for anything greater.
“Someone has three sets of twins facing each other, that’s very unusual,” Silber continued.Rates of twinning vary per nation. It occurs in around one in 250 Americans. Therefore, if you do the arithmetic, it will only occur three times—a very, very low incidence. The twins’ names, Kenzy and Kenzley, were inspired by Alarcon’s older sister Kizzy, who comes from a huge family.
It is a loving home since my mother has 10 biological 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren plus about 8 more that she has adopted, she added, noting that she is the youngest of the 10. intestine. There were 18 of us, and we were all pals. Thirty 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren will be living in our home and will be running around wildly. The family includes other members who have had multiple 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren besides the stay-at-home mother.
