Antony hasn’t played for Manchester United since the beginning of September because of claims that were made against him.
Now, Manchester United is happy. Antony has been completely cooperative while the claims are being looked into, and he has not been charged. Because of this, the club thinks he can play.
At his news conference, Erik ten Hag made this clear when he spoke over a reporter who asked about the club’s moral stance.
He gave a very simple answer: “He cooperated fully.” He wasn’t charged.
It’s clear that the players at Manchester United are glad to have him back. Antony is a big deal on the team, and he brings a lot of s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 and hard work to it.
United is having a rough patch right now, so his return is very important. This is also his first Champions League game at Old Trafford, so he won’t want to miss it.
European night is fun for Antony at Old Trafford.
Antony scored the game-winning goal at home against Barcelona for Manchester United in the Europa League playoff rounds last season.
He also scored a great shooting goal against Real Betis at home, and he will be eager to make up for the time he has missed over the past month.
United does need all the help they can get right now, and Antony going right back into the starting lineup wouldn’t be a surprise.
