According to the Spanish press, Kylian Mbappe will accept a huge salary cut when joining Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer.
Mbappe’s Paris Saint-Germain contract expires at the end of June, with the Frenchman previously revealing that he will not sign an extension at Parc des Princes.
After rejecting Real Madrid in 2022, Mbappe is close to completing a historic move to Santiago Bernabeu, where he will link up with players such as Vinicius Jr, Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo. Therefore, Los Blancos will definitely be a candidate to win the 2024/25 Champions League, with their attack considered the most dangerous in Europe.
Although Mbappe is expected to join Real Madrid this summer on a free transfer , he is expected to take a “huge” pay cut to ensure the deal goes ahead.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, the 24-year-old will earn a net annual salary of €15 million, believed to be a third of what he currently earns at PSG. This seems to have been agreed between Real and Mbappe.

However, the signing bonus has not yet been disclosed, but Mbappe will own 80% of his image rights at the Spanish Royal Club.
Furthermore, the French player will receive tax breaks from the Spanish government. The “Mappe Law” will ensure he only pays 24.5% personal income tax, just 2% higher than the rate for workers earning between 12,000 and 18,000 euros a year.
Kylian Mbappe’s replacement at PSG
According to many reports, Barcelona’s 16-year-old prodigy, Lamine Yamal, is currently PSG’s dream replacement for Mbappe. However, the Parisians are understood to have failed with their €200 million bid, meaning their pursuit is unlikely to succeed.
Yamal has eight goals and five assists in all competitions this season, and he has broken countless records at Barcelona.
