At the end of the 2023/24 season, Kylian Mbappe announced his departure from PSG after his contract expired. Shortly after, the 25-year-old striker confirmed his move to Real Madrid on a free transfer.

Arriving at Bernabeu, Mbappe will follow in the footsteps of his idol Cristiano Ronaldo, wearing the number 9 shirt in his first season at Los Blancos.

Due to being busy playing EURO 2024 with the French team, Mbappe has not been able to debut for Real. The official debut of the 2018 World Cup champion is expected to take place at the Bernabeu Stadium on July 16.

Although it has not been officially launched, Real has started selling Kylian Mbappe’s number 9 shirt. And since the announcement, Mbappe’s shirt has been sold out on Los Blancos’ online store.

According to Marca , after placing an order, the buyer will have to wait up to 6 weeks to receive the product. In Real’s history, this is the longest time that fans have had to wait to receive a new player’s jersey.

Previously, shirts bearing the names Jude Bellingham or Vinicius Junior were delivered in less than a week.
