Steph Curry reveals who he’ll back between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris in the Presidential election

USA basketball star Steph Curry has thrown his support behind Kamala Harris ahead of her expected Presidential battle with Donald Trump this fall.

Harris is set to replace Joe Biden in the race for the White House after the current President announced Sunday that he is not seeking reelection and that his current VP should be the next Democratic leader.

If that indeed proves the case, she will slug it out with Trump ahead of the all-important election in November.

And Curry, speaking ahead of Team USA‘s Olympics opener against Serbia this weekend, has made it clear which side of the political spectrum he finds himself on after endorsing Harris as the next President.

‘Interesting times in our country right now,’ the Golden State Warriors point guard said. ‘Hopefully with her on the ticket, we’re winning the election. It’s a big deal, to say the least.’

Harris, who was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 in Oakland, is a lifelong Warriors fan and has previously described the team as a ‘constant source of joy and pride’.

Curry continued about the former US Senator: ‘She represents the Bay Area and is a big support of us, and we’re gonna give that energy right back to her.

‘For her in this moment going ahead, it’s all about positive energy and optimism knowing how divided our country is right now.

‘I’m just excited for the journey ahead for her.’

Curry previously aligned himself with the Democrats during the 2020 Presidential election.

In a video with wife Ayesha, the NBA sensation revealed they were voting for Biden ahead of Republican leader Trump that year.

‘We want to ensure that our kids live in a nation that is safe, happy, healthy and fair and so this election,’ Ayesha said to kick the video off.

‘We’re voting or Joe Biden,’ said Steph.

Curry has also had some run-ins with Trump in the past, turning down the chance to visit the White House during his previous stint as President in 2017.

Trump responded by withdrawing his invitation to Golden State’s NBA championship winning team on Twitter (now X).
