Emily in Paris co-stars Ashley Park and Paul Forman play romantic partners on-screen, but the pair have also taken their love off-camera. Forman joined the cast for season 3 as Nicolas De Leon, Mindy Chen’s (Park) love interest. Before announcing their relationship, Park and Forman would frequently post behind-the-scenes pictures together from set.

Relationship rumors sparked for Forman and Park in October 2023, and the happy couple is still going strong. Ahead is a complete timeline of their sweet relationship so far.

January 2024January 25

Park posted a hint that she’s been with Forman for at least one year. She posted a sweet Throwback Thursday picture of her and Forman embracing in an intimate hug.

“A year ago today from today 🥹 @peforman annual January heroism 💪🏼,” she captioned it.

“The only heroism comes from having you by my side 😏🦸‍♂️❤️,” Forman replied in the comment section.

January 19

Park confirmed their relationship.

She took to her Instagram to announce that she experienced a medical emergency. In the carousel, she included a pic of Forman planting a kiss on her forehead while she laid in a hospital bed, and a lighthearted video of him trying to tie Park’s hair for her.

“As I sit here processing and recovering from the first few weeks of 2024, the only word I can think of is grateful. While on holiday in December into New Years, what started as tonsillitis spiraled into critical septic shock, which infected and affected several of my organs. I am grateful that my health has improved despite what we had initially been told,” she started off her lengthy caption.

She then went on to thank Forman for remaining by her side throughout the entire situation.

“Grateful most of all to @peforman for being unconditionally by my side through all this. You calmed my fears and held me through ambulances, three foreign hospitals, a week in the ICU, scary ERs, countless scans and tests and injections, excruciating pain, and so much confusion all while we were alone on the other side of the world far from those we know. I love you Paul. More than I can ever say,” Park continued.

“My love. ❤️” Forman commented.

Park and Forman attended The Hollywood Reporter’s Beauty Dinner. They held hands and stayed together all night.

Although she didn’t share his identity, Park revealed that her boyfriend is always there for her in an interview with People.

“I’ve just never been with someone so supportive,” she admitted. “And not supportive like, ‘Oh, that’s so cool for you,’ but who genuinely feels happiness when I do.”

On March 24, Park shared a carousel of photos and video clips featuring Forman to celebrate his 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day. They apparently celebrated with a couple’s massage, an elaborate dinner, and a T-shirt covered in his face.

Park gave Cosmopolitan the full story on how she and Forman began dating. They really were friends first.

“I was at a point where I was like, ‘I will never date an actor again,’” she said of when she first met him. “And one of the first things he said to me was, ‘I’ve never dated an actor.’ And I was like, ‘Amazing.’”

She added she was distrusting of his good looks. “Let’s face it, he’s eye candy,” she said. “So I was also like, ‘Oh my god, definitely not. I am past that. I would never fall for someone who looks that impeccable.’ So we were just friends. Very platonically, we would hang out. Then I was invited by the International Medical Corps to go and volunteer with Ukrainian refugees in Poland. It was going to be a whole week in Poland and I didn’t want to do it alone, so I thought, You know who should come with me, because literally we are just good friends, is Paul.”

“I come from the theater!” she said in justification. “You want to bond with your costars, and I was like, ‘He’s my new scene partner.’ So I invited him. Fast-forward, we’re filming one of our last scenes together, and he said, ‘I am getting really attached to you.’ I felt so all-knowing and above it. I was like, ‘Oh, you poor man, let me explain. This is a show. You’re just excited about the whole thing.’”

She recalled her co-star and close friend Lily Collins noticing their chemistry too and Park shutting down the notion anything romantic was happening. “Back then, she just asked, ‘So why did you guys kiss during the rehearsal?’ I was like, ‘It’s because we’ve been doing scenes all week,’” Park recalled. “And she said, ‘Well, you guys seemed really excited.’ Then that night, we got together. We went out, and I thought I was going to be third-wheeling on a date with him, and it turned out it was just us. And I was like, Oh my god, I’ve lied to my best friend. I really do like this guy. What do I do?” They went to Poland together and came back as a proper couple.

Park praised Forman’s personality, saying, “One of the reasons I wanted to be friends with him, and eventually fell in love with him, is that he’s so generous and kind as a coworker and a friend. I’ve never been with a straight white male who has been more generous or better to work with on a set. Ever, ever, ever.”

Forman and Park had an affectionate moment during the Los Angeles Emily in Paris season 4, part 1 premiere in Los Angeles. The couple kissed on the red carpet. Park was dressed in an asymmetrical silver gown by Lever Couture. She accessorized with Pandora jewelry.
