Currently, there is nothing connecting Calle’s take on Kara Zor-El to the upcoming film, but if her turn in The Flash is well-received, then there might be hope for her future as Supergirl. Besides, Calle has been pretty vocal about wanting to star in the film.

The Flash might be Calle’s first feature film, but it will certainly not be her last. While the actress currently has no projects on the TV side, she is part of On Swift Horses‘ star-studded cast of young actors. Calle will play Sandra alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People), Will Poulter (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3), Jacob Elordi (Euphoria), and Diego Calva (Babylon). On Swift Horses is an adaptation of the book of the same name, focusing on a love triangle. Calle’s role as Supergirl in The Flash is bound to open many doors for the actress, even if a DC return ends up not happening.
