A record-breaking transaction has taken place, as a Greek billionaire family has ordered not one, but three superyachts, each measuring 230 feet long. Surpassing the likes of the Qatari royal family and Saudi kings, this remarkable deal was announced by International Yacht Company (IYC) and The Italian Sea Group (TISG), two prominent players in the international yachting industry.
The vessels in question are part of the Admiral Fleet, specifically the GC-Force model, designed by Michel Chryssicopoulos, IYC’s Global Managing Partner.
The purchase of three superyachts at once is a testament to the brilliance of Admiral Fleet and its appeal to the wealthy European family.
Chryssicopoulos expressed his excitement, emphasising the strengthened relationship between IYC and The Italian Sea Group that began over a decade ago. Chryssicopoulos will oversee the construction of these three extraordinary superyacht projects, affirming his confidence in the team at The Italian Sea Group and its founder and CEO Giovanni Costantino, as they work together towards successful deliveries.
While specific details about the motor yachts remain undisclosed, the Admiral GC-Force 70 yachts will be crafted by The Italian Sea Group’s Centro Stile, their in-house design studio. Characterised by their elegance, these yachts will feature sleek lines and expansive deck spaces, allowing ample natural light to flood the interiors, thanks to the generous use of glass throughout.
Upon completion, each of the three Admiral GC-Force 70 yachts will include at least seven luxurious guest cabins and ten crew cabins. Delivery of the yachts is scheduled for 2026, 2027, and 2028, respectively.
Filippo Menchelli, Chairman of The Italian Sea Group, provided further insight into the sale, highlighting it as a significant milestone achieved through the professionalism of their team and the superior quality of their yachts. This purchase serves as evidence of the trust placed by owners worldwide in their organisation.
