“I’ve never felt underestimated by my peers. By critics, sometimes. I try not to [read reviews], but I’m just such a sucker for that. It’s the bane of the actor: You’ve got to check in with what’s going on around you. It’s just the nature of the beast.”

While the actor claims that he avoids reviews and focuses on giving his all in his films, he believes reading professional pundits’ analyses of his performance is crucial too.

In an interview, Keanu Reeves, who plays the titular role in the beloved John Wick franchise, opened up about his experience being part of this billion-dollar film series. When asked what has been his favorite thing to explore in the series, the actor claimed that he enjoyed creating these films the most, saying, 

“One of my favorite parts is the creation of it. I’m really learning about him( John Wick) more as we develop the story. It’s almost in real time with the audience in a weird kind of time collapse. Here’s the idea, we’re gonna go make a movie and share it with you. That’s all kind of connected as one thing. And so, I got to learn in Chapter Four that I had this friendship with Donnie Yen. I had Hiroyuki Sanada, who’s the manager of the Osaka Continental; we have a past. I’m learning that with the movies, and that’s actually really playful and creative and fun.”

Keanu Reeves made his character debut as John Wick in the lucrative franchise starting with the 2014 original film of the same name. Since then, the actor has won critical acclaim for his exceptional work in the action-packed and thrilling series, which has helped him solidify his position as a top-tier star in the entertainment industry.
