Antony, 23, began his career in Sao Paulo in his native Brazil before signing for Ajax in 2020.

For an upcoming two-part film entitled “It All Starts With a Dream”, Antony can be seen in tears as he recalls his early life in what appears to be his old neighbourhood.

He has spoken before about growing up in an area of Sao Paulo known as Inferninho — “little Һell”, where drug dealing and murders were rife.

In the 433 film presented by Puma, the Brazil international described himself as: “A boy who struggled a lot.

“A boy who went through a lot of hardship.”

Talking about his hometown, he added through tears: “I will carry this place here, for the rest of my life.”

He is seen visiting neighborhood kids and executing his signature spin trick in the brief clip.

Last season, during a Europa League game against FC Sheriff, Antony displayed a showy double-spin that got him into trouble.

The feat was accomplished in the 38th minute, just before halftime, when manager Erik ten Hag hooked him.

Man United fans recently fumed “it should be Antony” as Facundo Pellistri was linked with a loan move to Sheffield United.

One wrote: “Should be Antony leaving ffs.”

While a second blasted: “Would rather loan Antony.”

A third added: “Send Antony there instead.”
