Hiking Trails. Nature lovers looking for a great hike will love Bent Mountain Falls. This hike is best planned in advance. You should allow approximately two hours for the Bent Mountain hike. It is almost five miles round trip.
Scenic Drive on Bent Mountain. You can take a scenic drive down Route 221, Brambleton Avenue. It leaves Roanoke, Bent Mountain Road, and ends at Callaway Road. Callaway Road is the access point to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Route 221, which passes through farmland and churches, climbs through forested areas, and winds its way up to reach more open areas for grazing livestock, is a great route. Route 221 can be taken to Floyd if you have the time. This is where you’ll find Floyd Country Store, famous for its Friday Night Jamboree concerts.
