The icon might be sidelined longer than he originally hoped.
The news isn’t ideal for Angels fans, or those hoping for a speedy recovery for superstar Mike Trout. He was off to a solid start in the 2024 season, after multiple seasons of injury issues, but was sidelined after April 29th due to a torn meniscus in his left knee that required surgery.
On Tuesday he offered an update that was hopeful if it wasn’t ideal, as he said, “It’s getting there… Obviously, slower than I thought, but it’s the first time with a knee injury. Just trust the process and taking it day by day.”

While he might not have a date in mind for when he’ll be back, he is hopeful that he’ll return sooner rather than later.
