Where is the home of Bad Bunny? His pricey apartment in New York City and his two residences in Los Angeles

Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio aka Bad Bunny is now officially a resident of Los Angeles, after splurging $8.8 million on a modern — and downright gorgeous — Hollywood Hills mansion, and another $8.3 million on a secluded cottage bought from pop superstar Ariana Grande.

Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, better known as Bad Bunny, has officially put down roots in Los Angeles.

In 2023, the Latin superstar bought a stunning property in Hollywood Hills — his first mansion in the United States — followed by an even higher-profile purchase. In January 2024, he forked over $8.3 million to buy Ariana Grande’s house in the trendy Bird Streets neighborhood of LA.

And we couldn’t be happier for the El Apagón rapper, as his road to stardom wasn’t the smoothest.

Believe it or not, Bad Bunny was once a bagger at a supermarket before he became one of the biggest pop stars in the world. His music career started when he published his songs on SoundCloud.

He was discovered by a music producer and quickly rose to fame. While he was already big in Latin America, it wasn’t until he collaborated with Cardi B and J Balvin for I Like It that he broke into the US music scene.

Now, he is a worldwide superstar with an estimated net worth of $40 million!

And much like most other celebrities, the Puerto Rico-𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 singer invested some of his hard-earned money in real estate, recently splurging over $17 million on two luxury pads in the City of Angels.

So if you’ve ever wondered where Bad Bunny lives, we’re here to break it down for you — while also giving you the tour of his new houses and a sneak peek at his Big Rig, which makes for one hell of a ‘home away from home’.

Life in Puerto Rico

While Benito has officially joined the roster of famous celebs who live in LA, his main home is still in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He has kept details of his mansion there undisclosed, so there’s not much we can tell you about Bad Bunny’s house in Puerto Rico.

At one point, reports say he lived in a $3 million mansion with ex-girlfriend Gabriele Berlingeri. The two had a five-year relationship and even quarantined together in 2020.

After a tumultuous relationship, they broke up in 2022 and are now dating around. Benito was most recently romantically linked to Kendall Jenner, who is also a resident of Los Angeles (*see Kendall Jenner’s house here). Rumor has it that their nearly year-long romance came to an end, but the two celebs have neither confirmed nor denied the split.

What we do know is that the singer — with or without his Kardashian girlfriend — is ready to settle in Hollywood Hills.

And since we don’t know which of his two houses in the upscale neighborhood will serve as his primary residence, we’re giving you all the deets on both houses Bad Bunny owns here.

It’s goodbye Puerto Rico and hello, Hollywood, at least for a while.

In early 2023, the rapper dropped a cool $8.8 million for a Hollywood Hills mansion — and it’s a beauty!

Perched high up in the hills and surrounded by lush trees on all corners, the house affords the notoriously private singer some isolation from the public eye.

The mansion has two structures — a main house and a two-story guesthouse, totaling eight bedrooms, seven bathrooms combined, and a total living space of more than 7,000 square feet.

Inside, the sparkling white interiors are decorated with contemporary finishes.

There’s a spacious dining area beside a stylish, sunken living room with a direct view of the pool and lounge.

The modern kitchen is equipped with Viking appliances and features a massive center island.

An ultra-wide glass window across the island table offers a view of the garden for that relaxing indoor-outdoor feel.

Upstairs, the master suite of Bad Bunny’s house is the epitome of luxury living.

It has a sitting area, a huge bathroom with a glass-enclosed shower room, a massive walk-in wardrobe, and a glass balcony with panoramic views of the pool area and the Sunset ᵴtriƥ.

Another notable area is the stunning outdoor lounge, which is the perfect place to entertain guests. Bad Bunny’s mansion comes with a large backyard that has a perfectly manicured lawn and a fully equipped barbecue and grilling space.

Guests can also chill on the outdoor lounge’s wooden deck and take a dip in the infinity-edge pool.

The two-story guesthouse is situated just a few meters from the main house.

Connected to the main house through large stone pathways, the guest house has its own multiple-car garage and is big enough for a family.

Towering palm trees and tropical plants decorate the outside, giving the mansion a luxury resort vibe.

The house he bought from Ariana Grande

While his first purchase was nothing out of the ordinary, and many have assumed that the Puerto Rican superstar bought his Hollywood Hills manse as a pied-à-terre, for occasional use whenever he’s in town for work, his second purchase confirmed that the No Me Conoce singer is ready to settle down in Los Angeles.

He kicked off 2024 with a high-profile transaction: Bad Bunny bought a 1,600-square-foot cottage owned by none other than pop superstar Ariana Grande.

Here are the specs

  • Location: Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, CA
  • Bedrooms: 3
  • Bathrooms: 2
  • Square footage: 1,600
  • Year built: 1946 (extensively renovated in 2020)
  • Lot size: 0.74 acres
  • Amenities: swimming pool, outdoor patio with city views, a two-car garage
  • Purchase price: $8,300,000 (January, 2024)
  • Previous selling price: $8,900,000 (March, 2021)

I know what you’re thinking. Charming as it may be, the cottage pictured above doesn’t necessarily scream ‘luxury house’, nor does it seem like the type of property that commands an $8+ million sale.

But there’s more to the property than meets the eye.

Bad Bunny’s new house is best described as a small cottage on a big plot of land — and said plot of land has a hilltop location that’s hard to match.

Set in the celebrity-favorite Bird Streets area of Hollywood Hills (a collection of highly desirable addresses named after some well-known winged creatures like Blue Jay Way, Oriole Drive, Thrasher Ave, and more), the property is a three-parcel, 0.74-acre hillside plot that can easily accommodate new structures.

And the privacy it offers is unmatched.

Touted as one of the most private homes in all of Hollywood Hills, Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio’s house is hidden from the public road by tall hedges and trees, giving nothing away from the street.

But once guests pass through its gates, they’re welcomed by the lush grounds of the property leading to the cozy cottage and outdoor patios with million-dollar views over the bustling Sunset Strip, West Hollywood, and beyond.

We don’t know what Bad Bunny has planned for Ariana Grande’s former cottage, but there’s plenty of potential here. He could either raze the cottage altogether and make way for a bigger build or simply add extra structures to the property.

He might even flip it for a pretty penny — though hopefully, his attempt at that will fare better than Ariana’s, who lost close to a million dollars from the sale.

The penthouse he’s been renting in New York City

Much like other celebrities that make it big in the US, the Puerto Rican superstar went bicoastal in 2023 and started renting a luxury penthouse in the Big Apple for a whopping $150,000/mo.

Bad Bunny’s New York home is located in West Chelsea’s Jardim building at 527 West 27th Street and is reportedly one of the priciest rentals in the city.

Spanning 4,552 square feet, the penthouse has 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and 2-foot-high ceilings wrapped in walls of sliding glass that open up to million-dollar views of the Manhattan skyline.

At 4,593 square feet, the outdoor space surpasses the duplex apartment’s square footage — a rarity for the city — and features four terraces, a 32-foot private lap pool, an outdoor kitchen, and a landscaped rooftop with views of the Hudson River.

While the I Like It singer is using it as a pied-à-terre for when he’s staying in town, the 527 West 27th Street penthouse is currently on the market for $18.5 million with former MDLNY star Ryan Serhant and Chase Landow in charge of finding a buyer.

His Big Rig isn’t too shabby either

The Hollywood Hills mansion and nearby cottage are definitely a major upgrade from the tour truck he was using for his Miami show a couple of years ago — though we wouldn’t mind calling that fancy ride home.

In a tribute to his uncles and other family members who are truckers, the rapper got himself a custom Peterbilt rig with a massive 53-foot trailer to match, heavily customized by the West Coast Customs team (most famous due to their long-running MTV show, Pimp My Ride, hosted by rapper Xzibit).

Through a partnership with Airbnb, Bad Bunny decided to convert his tour truck into a home.

Named The Last Big Rig, after El Ultimo Tour del Mundo (The Last World Tour), the semi-truck is decked out with a colorful living space, taking inspiration from the singer’s music and videos. The renovated truck also had a bedroom, a dining area, and a sitting room.

To celebrate the success of his sold-out tour, the rapper opened up the 53-foot rig for rental in March 2022. According to Benito, he wanted his fans to experience a glimpse of his tour life through his truck.

“Being on tour has reconnected me with my fans and the energy they give me during each show in every city we visit is incredible,” Bad Bunny said in a press release.

“I’m hoping that by hosting guests in my truck I can give them a chance to feel like they’re on tour with me. This truck has played such a big role in the concept of my tour and my last album that I want to share this unique experience with them.”

The package also included VIP tickets to his show, a tour of Bad Bunny’s favorite Miami stops, a photo shoot with the rig, and a personal message from Benito himself. This was definitely a cool way to thank his fans for their love and support!
