Khloé Kardashian is getting back into the fragrance game.
The Good American founder told Hello! Fashion Monthly that she was preparing to launch a new perfume this year, sharing in the mag’s August/September 2024 issue that she found the idea of releasing a perfume on her own to be “scary.”
Kardashian, 40 — who created her first fragrance, Unbreakable, and their multiple spin-offs with ex-husband Lamar Odom in 2011 — shared that while she wasn’t new to the beauty business, working on a scent by herself was a different story.
“I have done fragrances before, with my ex-husband and my sisters, but the pressure’s on me now,” she admitted, speaking of the perfumes she created for sister Kim Kardashian’s now-defunct KKW Beauty brand.
The reality star shared that she’d been testing out “different scents for months and months” and that it was “a scary process because fragrance is so personal.”
Khloé — who said the yet-to-be-named scent was “coming in December, hopefully” — told the magazine that good things come to those who wait.
“It’s just taking time because I’m a perfectionist,” she said, adding, “It’s a lot on my shoulders but I think I’m coming up with something really beautiful.”
Of course, Khloé isn’t the only Kardashian to jump into the fragrance business; along with Kim’s KKW Fragrance business, sister Kylie Jenner, 26, launched her own scent, Cosmic, earlier this year.
In December, Khloé told WWD that she was “in such a different place” than when she created fragrances in the past. “I’m older. I’m wiser,” she shared.
Her KKW scent featured “transparent floral bouquet featuring notes of cloud musks, pink sapphire tuberose and blushing jasmine” while the Unbreakable series was a line of uni𝓈ℯ𝓍 eau de toilettes with gourmand, fruity and floral notes.
While the star didn’t give any hints about what fans can expect from her new perfume, she said, “I love for a scent to be classic and for you to be captivated by it.”
