This encounter was aired on the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

The pair had a sit-down conversation at the Four Seasons hotel in New Orleans, where Blanchard lives.

Kardashian praised Blanchard for her work since her release from jail in December 2023.

“I recognize that like you can make a big difference because you can really articulate what you went through and how you can get through it,” Kardashian said.

The reality star revealed that she had followed Blanchard’s story and case closely.

Blanchard then praised Kardashian and gave her “massive kudos” for speaking about her and going to meet her.

The ex-prisoner has served more than eight years in jail for the murder of her mother Dee Dee Blanchard in 2015.

Blanchard had expressed her desire to do prison reform work, which Kardashian has been a strong voice for.

The TV star then explained why she believed Blanchard should be given another shot.

“I know it’s a controversial subject when people meet with people who were involved in something so violent,” Kardashian said in a confessional.

“But I do believe people should have second chances in life.

“And I take her entire background into consideration, it’s hard not to.”

Blanchard emotionally responded and said she had served her time and paid for her actions.

“Now let’s see what I can be new with my new life and my second chance,” Blanchard said.

“Can I at least get that?”

Who is Gypsy Rose Blanchard?

Blanchard was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 on July 27, 1991, to Clauddine “Dee Dee” Pitre and Rod Blanchard.

She had been deceived by her mother to believe she had been sick for most of her life.

According to her late mother, her daughter suffered from leukemia, asthma, and muscular dystrophy.

Medical professionals and investigators have since concluded that the daughter had likely been a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

Dee Dee was found stabbed to death at her home on June 14, 2015.

Two days later, Gypsy and her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn were arrested in connection to her mother’s homicide.

Life after prison

Blanchard’s story and case had stirred up acknowledgment online and made her viral before she was released.

The ex-prisoner now has 9.9 million followers on TikTok.

She married Ryan Scott Anderson in July 2022, while she was still in prison.

Blanchard filed for divorce from Anderson three months after she was released from jail.

She then reconciled with her ex-fiancé Ken Urker and on July 9, 2024, the pair announced they were expecting a 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥.
