Jason Kelce, who is tired of appearing on television, adds his daughter Wyatt to the conversation

Kelce continues to become an increasingly influential personality after quitting the NFL.

Jason Kelce said he’s “fed up” of being on television so much as the ex-Philadelphia Eagles‘ Super Bowl winner embarks on a career in punditry, shortly after his decision to retire from the NFL at the age of 36.

The older brother of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce has been working as an analyst for ESPN but he has also doubled up on his TV appearances by working a lot of commercials too, something he joked his daughter won’t be a fan of.

“Couldn’t agree more,” Kelce said to a poll revealing fans are tired of seeing him on their screens. “How is it even possible to film that many commercials?

“Wyatt sees enough of me, she doesn’t need to see more of Dad’s face or sh***y jokes in 4K! She does love Hank though.”

The 2018 Super Bowl, when the Eagles beat Tom Brady’s New England Patriots 41-33, has been appearing in advertisements for the Buffalo Wild Wings brand, which also features the titular animal voiced by Saturday Night Live’s Beck Bennett.

Why did Kelce retire from the NFL?

Kelce is currently trying to make his own way in the post-retirement world after calling time on his NFL career after the 2023/24 season following the Eagles’ 32-9 playoffs defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after they collapsed in the NFC East at the end of the regular season.

They had initially held a 10-1 lead by Week 12 but ended the season 1-5 afterwards to finish with an 11-6 record, including an embarrassing 27-10 loss to the New York Giants, as the Dallas Cowboys leapt ahead on the final day.

“In 2017, I enjoyed the finest season of my 13-year career,” Kelce said as he announced his retirement. “Not only as a player but as a team, and it meant more because of the struggles and work we had been through.

“Since that off-season, I have amassed six All-Pros, five Pro Bowls, and I’m recognized by some as one of the best centers to ever play the game. I’m very proud knowing where I once was and the legacy I have left behind.”
