Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra have shared the name of their 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 girl!

The couple welcomed their little one in January, with Joe, 29, and Priyanka, 39, sharing their joy at the news.

They penned at the time: “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 via surrogate,” a joint statement shared via Instagram read.

“We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.”

Meanwhile Marie means “star of the sea” and it’s a biblical name referring to mother Mary.

Given Priyanka is Indian the little girl’s name is a beautiful nod to her heritage.

It is thought that Malti was premature, the Daily Mail previously reported that she was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 at 27 weeks – 12 weeks ahead of her April due date.

An insider also told the Daily Mail: “Priyanka doesn’t have any fertility issues preventing her from having a 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦, but she is 39 now so it’s not getting any easier.

“Their busy work schedules also mean that it’s difficult for them to physically be together to conceive when she is ovulating, so some time ago they went down the surrogacy route.”

In February, Priyanka gave fans a sneak peek inside her 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦’s daughter’s nursery with an Instagram post which included a photo of some cuddly toys.

Malti already has many Jonas cousins, with all three of the brothers now having daughters.

Kevin has daughters Valentina and Alena with his wife Danielle, while Joe and his wife Sophie Turner welcomed their daughter Willa in 2020.
