Priyanka Chopra shared a glimpse of her Dhanteras celebration with Nick Jonas and Malti Marie, featuring her daughter’s adorable stack of silver bangles.
Despite living abroad, Priyanka Chopra ensures that Indian festivals remain an integral part of her family’s life. This Dhanteras, the actress celebrated the auspicious occasion with her husband, actor-singer Nick Jonas, and their adorable daughter, Malti Marie. Sharing a heartfelt family picture on her Instagram stories, Priyanka gave her fans a glimpse into their festive celebrations.
The picture, which has already delighted fans, shows Priyanka holding hands with Nick, and both of them holding little Malti Marie’s hands, creating a heartwarming family moment. Dressed in a traditional yet subtle style, Priyanka’s attention to detail was evident as she introduced Malti to Indian customs by adorning her tiny wrists with a stack of silver bangles. Captioning the photo, Priyanka wished her followers a “Happy Dhanteras to all” and included folded hands, a heart, and diya emojis, adding to the festive warmth.
This isn’t the first time Priyanka has blended her Indian heritage with her life abroad. Just a week ago, she celebrated Karwa Chauth, a festival observed by Hindu women for the long life of their husbands. Priyanka shared a series of photos showing her fasting for Nick and performing the rituals. In the pictures, she is seen breaking her fast with Nick’s help, as he offered her water, a customary part of the tradition. Another image from her Karwa Chauth post shows Priyanka lovingly reading a note from Nick, while her mother, Madhu Chopra, joins in the festivities via video call.
True to the festival’s spirit, Priyanka followed all the rituals, even applying henna, wearing sindoor, and adorning a mangalsutra bracelet. Dressed comfortably yet respectfully for the occasion, she covered her head with a dupatta while performing the puja, embodying the grace and tradition of a “desi girl” abroad. In her caption, she humorously noted, “To all those celebrating… happy karwa chauth and yes I’m filmy,” endearing herself to her fans with a touch of humor.
Recently, Priyanka was in India to fulfill brand commitments and attend the screening of Paani, her Marathi-language film that won the National Film Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation.
