Just a few days ago, Anthony Kim, the former PGA Tour star who made a surprise comeback to golf with LIV earlier this year, received a heartfelt message from Tiger Woods’ ex-coach Hank Haney. Kim’s future in the LIV Golf League remains uncertain after a rusty return to professional golf, with the 39-year-old yet to announce his plans for 2025. Despite this, Kim has been keeping his game sharp, posting several swing videos on his X account, which were shared by Haney with some encouraging words.

Haney tweeted, “This is a great golf swing, keep it up @AnthonyKim_Golf,” as Kim gears up for a return to competitive action later this month in Qatar. The International Series event on the Asian Tour has attracted several LIV players, including major winners Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel. Kim has been transparent about his reasons for getting back into the game, insisting his main focus is looking after his family and not necessarily lifting trophies again.
Recently, Haney took to X to show his support for TGL, which has been facing backlashes in recent days. We all know that TGL has been facing significant backlash from the golf community. Critics have expressed concerns over the league’s format, technology, and potential impact on traditional golf. The negative reception has cast a shadow over the league’s highly anticipated launch. Haney expressed his optimism about the upcoming golf league, stating “I’ve got high hopes for this deal, golf could really benefit if this is a hit.” His comments come ahead of TGL’s highly anticipated launch on January 7, which will be broadcast on ESPN.
Well, it does seem like that TGL knows what they’re doing and by including such great talent, it is definitely set to be a success.
“It’s going to be cool”, Min Woo Lee said on joining TGL
It seems like TGL is on to something, and we mean something really big. Recently, Australian golfer Min Woo Lee revealed his excitement about joining the Tiger Woods-led arena golf series, which is set to shake up the sport in 2025. “It’s very cool, you see all the players going there and the screens and it’s a stadium … it’s going to be exciting,” Lee said.
Lee was particularly impressed by the state-of-the-art facilities at the purpose-built stadium in Florida, which will host the TGL events. He was blown away by the massive screens and cutting-edge technology that will be used to enhance the viewer experience. Lee is looking forward to competing against the likes of Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Adam Scott.
Despite his enthusiasm for TGL, Lee is currently dealing with a knee injury that he sustained in a freak accident. However, he is confident that he will be able to manage the injury and compete at a high level in the Australian Open and beyond. “A lot of big dogs are playing, it’s going to be cool,” Lee said.
