Nick Jonas sparked a frenzy on social media after sharing a post seemingly endorsing Elon Musk, following Musk’s resharing of a Tesla meme related to Donald Trump’s presidency.
Singer Nick Jonas found himself in the eye of a social media storm after sharing a post on X that seemingly endorsing billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk.
The backlash erupted on December 17 when Musk reacted to a post from Tesla Owners Silicon Valley that claimed the company’s profits have risen since Donald Trump won the US Presidential elections.
Musk reshared the post on X featuring a popular Jonas Brothers meme which shows Nick and Kevin Jonas rotating a table as Joe Jonas enters. He captioned it: “My, how the tables have turned.”
Reacting to Musk’s post, Nick Jonas shared an image of the Tesla CEO pointing his finger with the caption, “Take us to the year 3000.”

The post went viral quickly, garnering over 27 million views. However, the internet was not amused, with many fans, especially those of his wife Priyanka Chopra, expressing concern over Nick’s purported endorsement of the controversial billionaire.
One user commented, “Is this a trump post?! @priyankachopra. Get your man,” while another wrote, “Delete this. now. this man is horrible and even if this was meant as just a joke, it’s not funny.”
Nick and Priyanka’s holiday photos, which included a playful picture of their daughter Malti Marie playing with a cricket bat, irked fans further.
However, the couple have not yet reacted to the online backlash and have carried on with their festive celebrations.
The controversy over Jonas’ post comes at a time when there’s increasing scrutiny of Musk’s actions and statements, especially following his acquisition of X (formerly Twitter).
