This is the first collaborative album of the singer with her fiance – music producer Benny Blanco . The album is expected to be released on March 21. I Said I Love You First marks Selena Gomez’s return after 4 years of absence from music since her 3rd studio album – Rare .

According to Selena Gomez’s official website, I Said I Love You First is described as a musical tribute to the couple’s love story. The album was created organically, reflecting their authentic experiences on the journey from meeting, falling in love, to looking towards their future together.

Along with the album announcement, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco introduced the first song in the project called Scared Of Loving You . This is the album’s closing song, with a gentle ballad sound with rustic guitar, expressing sincere feelings about love.

The lyrics also reveal Selena Gomez’s thoughts on relationships: “Because I’m not afraid to love you. I’m only afraid to lose you. I’m not afraid that you’ll find someone new. Because how could they love you as much as I love you.”
