Noel Gallagher has vowed to recreate Erling Haaland‘s iconic underwear picture on-stage, if Manchester City win the Champions League on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola’s side are one match away from securing a historic Treble, having already clinched the Premier League and FA Cup titles last month.
And, with just Inter Milan standing in between themselves and a Champions League title, Gallagher has already began planning how he will celebrate.
The former Oasis singer revealed, to Man City‘s club website, that he will recreate Haaland’s iconic picture that was taken after their 4-1 win over Arsenal in April.
Gallagher revealed: ‘I won’t be in Istanbul – I always make sure the dates around the Champions League are free and usually that’s always around the end of May.

Noel Gallagher has revealed how he will celebrate if Man City win the Champions League
‘What wasn’t factored in was the World Cup and the knock-on effect. I’m contractually obliged to play the gig no matter what and I’m OK with that – I will watch the game in a San Diego bar.
‘If City win and Haaland scores a hat-trick I’ll be going on in my underpants.’
Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker endured a similar punishment in 2016 after agreeing to present the show in his underwear, if Leicester won the league.
Gallagher, meanwhile, was stood alongside the Norwegian when the picture was taken inside the City dressing room in April and also reflected on that hilarious moment to the club website.
‘Erling did ask for my picture, I was like ‘whoa, yeah but can you bend down a bit?’, Gallagher revealed.
‘He’s a lovely lad and he has got a beautiful, big smile and he just looks like a big happy kid. He’s great.’
The legendary artist will be hoping to see his side win the Champions League trophy for the first time in their history, having suffered heartbreak in 2021.
Guardiola’s side were beaten 1-0 by Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea after Kai Havertz’s strike was enough to earn the Blues a win in Russia.
‘I have to say, the blight coming over me after the Champions League final against Chelsea was the worst I’ve ever felt as a City fan,’ he said.
Pants appeal! He didn’t allude to the costume choice on the BBC1 show tonight other than to say ‘nothing much has really changed’
Gallagher will be hopeful that Haaland will be in full flow against Inter Milan on Saturday
‘There was something in the air that day, even getting up to go that morning I was thinking how much I hate all English finals, because they’re always rubbish to watch.
‘I had a bad feeling about it and in the end, a few weeks later I was thinking, ‘do we really want to win it there in a half-empty stadium or you want to win it in Rome or wherever?
‘Istanbul will do I suppose and if we don’t win it will be disappointing for a few days, but we are Premier League champions again and we have won the FA Cup.
‘That’s not to be sniffed at and this could still turn into one of the greatest seasons from any football team ever. Fingers crossed.’
