In A Capella: 11-Yr-Old Boy Sings Everyone Out Of Their Seats On “AGT”, Even Simon Was Blown Away!

D’Corey Johnson wants to be on Broadway someday. After seeing his knockout performance on “America’s Got Talent,” we think he’s got what it takes to tread the boards with the best of them!

The 11-year-old singer from Louisville, Kentucky chose to sing “Open Arms” by Journey for his audition. The song’s soaring vocals might pose a challenge for less accomplished singers, but D’Corey hit every note with ease. He also infused the lyrics with passion, holding his arms open and letting his voice reach all the way to the back of the auditorium.

When he finished the crowd gave him a standing ovation, but Simon Cowell wasn’t so sure. He asked the boy to sing the song again, this time with no musical accompaniment. Simon closed his eyes as D’Corey obliged, listening intently to his voice. This time, when D’Corey finished and the crowd jumped to its feet, Simon joined them!

Watch the boy who we’re sure will become the next big Broadway star in the video below, and don’t forget to share.
