Kevin Durant Hilariously Announces He’s Joining Threads: “On Threads With The Burner. Come Find Me.”

Kevin Durant has a curious relationship with fans, as he has stated his love to get in discussions with them. This has been a common thing for the player since his Oklahoma City Thunder days, and that won’t change anytime soon.

His Twitter battles are still memorable, but KD is joining a new social media to expand the ways he can fire back at fans criticizing him or making crazy takes about the NBA. On Thursday morning, he took to Twitter to announce he was joining the competition, Threads, with a hilarious message.

“On threads with the burner. Come find me,” the two-time NBA champion tweeted earlier today.

This is a self-roast, as Durant was once busted using burner accounts on Twitter. He admitted he still uses them, and now is taking his game to the next level, joining Threads, the over-hyped social media launched by Instagram to compete directly with Twitter.

Moreover, he announced his arrival to Threads by using a meme of rapper Future, joining the trend that plenty of users started on Wednesday.

After Elon Musk took over Twitter, many users and workers left, and following the ‘rate limit’ situation over the weekend, more decided to try out new platforms to keep sharing their thoughts on anything.

Kevin Durant Keeps Engaging In Twitter Battles Against Fans

Durant is still very active on Twitter, taking shots at fans and criticizing their opinions on NBA-related matters. He recently joined a Twitter Space discussing why he wasn’t a top-5 talent in the NBA.

He then called out the Brooklyn Nets fans for being obsessed with him and more recently blasted somebody who said Damian Lillard only had one or two years of competitive basketball in him.

Durant is always ready to express his opinion, and besides Twitter, he’s not joining Threads to share his thoughts and reflect on others.
