The log cabin can accommodate 10 people comfortably and is pet-friendly too. The owners offer guests unexpected extras such as bath salts if you choose to use the main floor full-size soaker bath or relax in the upper level cast iron tub. Fresh coffee beans and cream with a surprise baked treat are also provided. Also featured is a complimentary Union Bay Guest House bottle of wine for your enjoyment. You’ll want to note that no pets or smoking are allowed, the cabin is kid-friendly. The log cabin is not suitable for infants under 2 years old as there are high staircases to the loft and upper floor.
The vacation rental is self-check-in with a smart lock, quiet hours are between 11 pm to 7 am, smoking is allowed outside on the back deck with an ashtray provided. You must climb stairs as this is a 3 level home with extra beds up and a gym and rec room down. There are 3 bathrooms, one with a shower and the other two are full bathrooms. The cabin has 4 bedrooms one with a full-sized bed, one with 2 king-sized beds, another with 2 queen-sized beds, and lastly a bedroom with 3 twin-sized beds.
Mount Washington is excellent for skiing or sightseeing and is just 45 minutes away. The Crown Isle Golf Course is 30 minutes away. Just five minutes away is the Highwayman Saloon, post office, corner store, and historic landmarks and buildings to include the Union Bay historic jail and museum seasonal admission. The Union Bay Community Hall and ocean trails for long dog walks are less than 5 minutes. There is boat ramp access in Union Bay for small crafts and kayaks and canoes. The world-famous King Fisher Spa is 10 minutes away, and historic Cumberland is a 20-minute drive, home to the Ginger Goodwin union organizer for coal miners and Japanese and Chinese structural sites/cemetery. The area is well known for extensive mountain bike trails. Courtenay is 15 minutes away. It is advised that you have a car for your vacation stay.
