Her partially braided hair was pulled half up, and she topped off her ensemble with a pair of dark shades, strappy sandals, large stud earrings, and a stack of bracelets.

Meanwhile, her husband, Barack, 61, sported a light gray suit that he paired with a crisp white button-down sans tie and black brogues.

The 44th president wore black shades and carried a cup of coffee as he sweetly held hands with his wife at the graduation.

The Obamas’ security detail followed close behind them as they walked on the USC track with the rest of the graduates’ families and friends.

Their screenwriter daughter Malia was also dressed up in a pale pink off-the-shoulder dress and lime green strappy sandals.

She wore her rust-colored hair loose around her shoulders and had a tan handbag slung over her right shoulder.

While they were seated, she threw on her father’s suit coat to keep warm. Like her parents, she also protected her eyes from the California sunshine with a pair of dark shades.

Sasha, who shares an apartment with her sister, had been spotted on campus numerous times over the past year.

As Sasha held onto her diploma, she flashed her signature long nails, which were painted a midnight blue

Her long highlighted hair was styled in loose waves, and she had Hawaiian leis around her neck.

The Obamas’ youngest daughter had followed in her big sister’s footsteps when she relocated to the West Coast to attend USC after the pandemic.

Malia moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a screenwriter after graduating from Harvard University in 2021.

She scored a lucrative position working on Donald Glover’s upcoming Amazon show, Swarm, which is about a ‘Beyoncé-type character.’

The Ivy League grad previously worked as an intern on Lena Dunham’s HBO series Girls in 2015 and at The Weinstein Company in 2017.

She also served as a production assistant on Halle Berry’s CBS sci-fi drama series, Extant, before making it into the writer’s room.

Glover, who is also known by his stage name Childish Gambino, confirmed in March 2022 that he gave the former first daughter her first job writing for the series.

‘She’s just like, an amazingly talented person,’ he told Vanity Fair of Malia. ‘She’s really focused, and she’s working really hard.’

A few months ago, Michelle opened up about how her role as a parent has changed now that she is in her 50s and her daughters are building a life for themselves in California.

‘I’m moving from mom-in-chief to advisor-in-chief,’ she told Today co-anchor Hoda Kotb on the first episode of her podcast, The Light, which was recorded during her latest book tour.

‘That’s a lovely thing — to be able to watch my girls fly and have the relief that “Okay, I think I didn’t mess them up.”‘

The mother of two added that she is also focused on not greeting her daughters with a ‘critical eye’ now that they are adults.

‘What Toni Morrison says is that our kids just want our gladness. They don’t need us to fix them,’ she explained. ‘They don’t need us to point out the thing that’s wrong, first.’

The night before Sasha’s graduation, Michell was spotted at the exclusive San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood
